A lot of people are fainting these days. They feel faint or they have fainted, not because they got a blood test or because something scary happened or something tragic happened.
Instead, they're just walking along and they all of a sudden just start fainting or they feel like they're fainting or they feel faint when they're around friends or family where they're standing there and they're talking to somebody and they're hanging on by a thread.
They feel so weak. They feel practically like they're about to faint if they don't go or sit down.
It's so difficult. People are chronically ill and they feel this fainting.
Well, this is the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve is involved here.
So what happens is information from the brain is trying to get down the vagus nerves to be delivered everywhere else, including the heart.
But inflammation of the brainstem and inflammation of the vagus nerves blocks that electrical current from coming down.
And when that happens, we can actually become faint in that moment or feel like we're going to fall.
